Subject: rods IP: Logged
Message: hello I have an87 dak with 240000 miles on it and the rods are knocking real bad. can't I just drop the oil pan and screw the rods on tighter?

Message: hey i just seen a post not more then a few days ago on here
someone was selling a 3.9 with fairly low miles
and i agree with DAHEMIKOTA
you got almost a half mil on the odometer
either get another motor or do an entire rebuild

Message: I found out it wasn't the rods knocking it was the timing chain. but thanks for the help this old truck is ready to go another 150,000 miles of trouble free service.
