Message: try the tried and true coat hanger method. You probably can hook the door handle if you got a decent coathanger. Other than that try putting a brick in a sock and and swing it real hard against the window...works for all the car thieves around here

Message: slim jim should work easy. point the notches towards the edge of the door and bend it slightly so it comes towards the door skin
insert about half way down the door and move it around till you see the lock button move then pull up gently

Message: sliding rear windows are for the most part easy enough. A putty knife, pocket knife and screwdriver are all you need.
Wife and I spend $140 on triple A each year. We have the plus package for 2 people. Well worth it, including lock out service.
Dealers should be able to get you a new key based on VIN. Not sure how that works if they don't actually see the truck. What's to keep me from having them make a key for any dodge that i read the VIN from.

Message: Well I did this tonite... locked myself out of my
97 4*2 sport. After trying several methods. IE
prying out the door, could not get enough decent
leverage to pull out far enough. Tried Slim Jim...
no go... I have no sliding rear window. I tried
going through the side rear window hoping I could
spring the latch... no go.
What worked.. studying the lock position on the
drivers side I noticed it is just above the Door
handle to the left hand side. I lifted the door
handle and peered underneath. here are two slots
for the hinge of the handle, the right hand hinge
you can clearly see the rod for releasing the door
it is almost right at the door skin. on the left
you can see the rod for the door lock about 3
inches in. Being the handyman I am I have forceps
that are fairly long and thin. I was able to reach
in through the slot on the left Grab the rod for
the door lock after two attempts I was able to
unlock the door. When you grab the rod and lift
you have to release the door handle otherwise the
rod for the door lock will not travel far enough
up to unlock the door.

Message: I did this the other night at the roadhouse n found this forum,
thought id share my solution. I've got an 04 quad cab w
manual locks, dunno if it works with power but its worth a shot.
On the pass door i pushed up on the aft end of the bottom
rubber window trim, it just snaps on, came loose perty easy.
Just pull it up, look between the glass n the skin u can see the
lock mechanism. Use a coat hanger or whatever you got, i
bent a V in my antenna popped it in 30 secs, much easier than
fightin with a 3ft coat hanger. Granted it took me 20 minutes to
figure this out. I know pop a lock usually goes between the
glass n skin so thats where i started. I snapped my trim back
down cant tell anything was done. Didnt screw up my A pillars,
doors or WX stripping tryin to go between the door and saved
my $45 from pop a lock. Good luck, hope it helps you out.
