Subject: i scared myself the other day.... IP: Logged
Message: i was driving to work from my girlfreinds house, it was raining, i went to go pass this car that was in front of me, so i merged into the right lane and the ass end of my truck went to fish tailing, next thing i know im in front of the car i was gunna pass sideways! then i think i let off the gas and tryed to bring it back around and then the truck spun the other way and i ended up in the side of the road backwards in the grass. scared the hell outta me! i wasnt lead footing around or anything. thankfully i didnt hit anyone and nobody hit me! the only thing wrong with my truck is that when i hit the other side of the road my exhaust hit the ground and bent towards the passenger side and had grass and dirt all wedged in the pipe. i have duals exiting each side. all i got to do is have this fixed or redone. i just thought id share my spin out story with everyone, not that yall care or anything. by the way my truck is a reg cab short bed 3.9

Message: i have a 94 short bed and its crappy in the rain,
snow Ha! forget it, winter i take 4 bags of (childs play sand) bought at the local lowes or home depot wrap each in a plastic trash bag and put 2 behind each wheel in the bed.
take a look at your truck sitting empty and on level ground.
if the back'end is sitting up higher
try getting it to sit level for better weight distrubution. although this wont help if you do an heavy loads of hauling
(the short beds are pretty light out back) ....

Message: hey usually when i fishtail in the rain, snow or just for fun, the best way i get out of it, is to just stear into it and keep pushing the gas, i know this may sound dangerous and your reflex will be to hit the brakes but trust me it will work it you do it right.

Message: mine did something like that about two weeks ago. i was coming around a corner to exit onto the highway and was only 25 mph at most and the damn back end of my truck goes every way but straight. lucky for me all the oncoming traffic was stopped at a light so i was the only one on that part of road. i hit the brakes and turned the wheel twice before i stopped. i was pissed. now every time it rains i really pay attention to the detail i feel while steering and accellerating. stock tires suck in the rain.
