Subject: Flywheel ? IP: Logged
Message: Can anyone tell me if there is a difference in the flywheels on a magnum v6, and a premagnum v6. I'm in the process of doing a premagnum to magnum swap, and the Hayes manual doesn't address this issue. Any assistance with this issue is greatly appreciated.

Message: It only matters if you plan on using the Magnum fuel injection. As for weighting and bolt pattern, they're the same.

Message: Thanks, for the response, and that is exactly what I'm planning on doing, so I bought a flywheel from a bone yard. Hopefully everything works out.

Message: You need to look at how you will fab a mount for the crank sensor at the rear of the block, as is done in Magnums. This sensor reads the "windows" in the Magnum flywheel, which is then used to coordinate fuel and ignition events.
