Subject: trans trouble? IP: Logged
Message: wanted to ask anybody about trans trouble. My 99 v6 bangs into reverse when i 1st get in it in AM. when it warms up it seems to be ok. it will also take a bit longer to shift into next gear. but then when it warms it appears to be ok. i took it to cottman trans other day and he said to get the Cat fixed 1st then bring it back in to be cked out. he drove it and of course it didnt do anything out of norm. any ideas?

Message: Sounds like converter drain back miss adjusted
manual valve, sticky acumulator valve, miss
adjusted rear band
99 is also 1 of the years they had probs with the
presure sensor and selonoid upgraded replacement
unit from chrysler around $200
Pop it into drive and than go to rev this is not
a fix just a way to stop it from happening

Message: I also have a trans problem w/ my '00. When it's cold it doesn't like to shift into 3rd, it'll wind 2nd out to 3k rpms then shift really hard. When warm there's no problem.

Message: hey gears, have you solved your not shifting into third when cold problem? mine does the exact same thing and I am searching for a solution... I was going to go and get the trans filter and fluid changed tommorow, maybe that will help some.
