Subject: Straight-piped 3.7L? IP: Logged
Message: I was just wondering whether or not any of you guys with a 3.7L has straight pipes on your Dak? I'm supposed to go tomorrow to get mine installed. I'm going to have them leave the cat's and split it with a y pipe at the spare tire, but I would kinda like to have an idea of how it should sound before I do. Thanks for the opinions.

Message: i jave the 3.9 and i straight piped it, its sounded sweet at idle. but when i got on it i was so disappointed, it sounded like a pissed off bumble bee, it was terrible, so i went back and had them put on a flowmaster, i love it now! so in my opion and experience i guess you could say, NO! dont straight pipe it!

Message: Just shorten the y-pipe and run the duals from
muff out with a dynomax or flowmaster and they
sound good

Message: Well, I finally did get exhaust put on but I went with a 40 series delta Flowmaster. It sounds really good. It has a good sound at idle and has a nice mellow sound on through the upper rpm's. I'm really happy with it.
