Subject: New Brake Problem IP: Logged
Message: I have a 97 Dakota 3.9 2 wheel drive. You can hear the front left brake rubbin with every revolution. Sometimes, you only hear when you apply the brakes and other times I hear it just driving down the road. But I always hear it.. Here is the kicker. I replaced the pads rotors and calipers and it still does the same thing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Message: There is a spring clip that holds the outer brake pad in place. May be rubbing the rotor, mine was, squeeked like hell.

Message: May be a bearing, not the brakes.

Message: When I took the old Caliper off the rubber seal around the piston was worn down to the metal. It looked like someone took a file to the caliper. The new caliper is the same way and now it makes a clicking sound when I apply the brakes. Could it be the brake line? Its just weird that after you replace everything it is still doing the thing.
