where can u get some chrome valve covers for a 3.9 i looked quite a bit for them and i cant seem to find any, should i just get the stock ones dipped or could i buy some?

They Make chrome covers for the pre-magnum 3.9L, not the 3.9L magnums. If you have the pre-mag look in your JEGS catalog.

I have been running the pre Mag chrome valve covers on my 97 Dak for years. Have had no problem with leaks.

The Pre-mag covers are a slightly different shape and only use 6 bolts rather than 8. The oil cap goes on the right side instead of the left.
