Tomorrow the V6er goes into the muff shop for a Flowmaster 40 series Cat-back system. I cant wait to here the sound. Taxes come back within the next 2 months, and then the ball really gets rolling. On goes either a steel cowl induction hood, or a functional Ram-Air hood. Which do you guys think is better? If i go CI, I'll put a K&N FIPK on most likely. But if it's Ram-Air, then the RA box is going in obviously. I think i like the CI hood better because 1) It is steel, & 2) it matches the height of the fiberglass lid i got on the bed now. I need to get a few body touch-ups done, like little paint chips that need redone. About $3000 is going into the Dak in the next couple months. Could you guys throw out some ideas for me, what you think else would make my Dak even more kicka$$ than she already is? (viewers rides, album 12, bottom row, second from left) Intense, i REALLY like your ride, but am not too thrilled about slamming my Dak, all do respect to you. Help me out guys!

That is an AWESOME looking hood! Too bad the introductory price of $600 is only for the first 25 ordered. I dont think ill be able to place my order for any hood for another month or so...at least 'till taxes come back.

if you would like to lower it with out slamming it you could go for the hotchkis suspension... it's only 2" in front and 3" in the rear. improves handling BIG time. my truck is lowered about 3-4" in front and 5-6" in the rear to give you and idea. i asked about the color because i am thinking about selling my hood and trying to find a fiberglass one. that is if there is a big weight difference.

Dude, the cat back is AWESOME!! It sounds like im driving a V8....without the same power of course. Up next, air intake system...within the next couple weeks im guessing.

i think they sell for just over $500 with bilstein shocks. not too bad for the ride... i think bernd has it.

WOW>>>just got back from the body shop to get an estimate for all the little nicks and scratches on the Dak...$1200!!! Thats friggin' unbelieveable! I think I'll be looking at other shops around the area. I think the biggest things was, though, that the front bumper needs repainted black. Thats the only downside about these sports....everything is painted instead of chromed/stainless.

sport looks better though except the crappy lettering SLTs sre kind of cheap looking in my opinion with that grey bumper they should make the paint the way it is on the new grand cherokee limited and headlights too for that matter. i just hope dodge doesn't mess with the shape like they did to the Ram (yuck) and the 16x8 rims should be made to look more like the 15x8s and the need to get better color selection on the new models...no more cool colors like intense blue and yellow

If you're looking at the Reflexxion steel cowl hood, I would strongly suggest you contact John Mercedes - works/runs an RT site.
I'm purchasing that hood from him today- $350, noone could/can beat that price!
