Subject: New Lifters IP: Logged
Message: Changed the lifters this weekend. My shop manual showed the lifter yoke as having a directional arrow on them, but none of the ones in my block were marked. In fact they looked the same right side up or down. Does anyone have a idea if there was a difference in the direction the yokes could be turned? Thanks for the help.

Message: The lifters go in with the marked side towards
center of motor,
The Yokes go in with both sides sitting down on
the engine block with the center raised where the
retainer plate holds them down.
No direction but up if you turn them around but
still have the center up thats fine.
Just don't install them upside down

Message: Thanks for the information. I was worried, my old book shows a directional arrow on the yokes and none of mine had any.
