Subject: K&N filter vs FIPK
IP: Logged

Message:
I have a pretty much stock '95 CC 4x4 w/ 3.9 auto. I'm going to be replacing the air filter soon. I was wanting to get thoughts on replacing the stock (fram) air filter with the K&N replacement. I'm not looking to replace the throttlebody, etc (at this time, but may at some point in the future) to gain hp. I am looking to increase air flow. I may eventually replace the intake with a homebrew - but not anytime soon (next 6 months at a minimum - need to do some work on the wife's pony before I can on my truck). What are the pros or cons of doing this vs waiting and spending the $150 on the K&N Kit.

Is there any reason why I should get the K&N filter to use with the stock air intake?
