there is no way in heck you could get away with:

Who said 3.9's have to stay 3.9? There's no reason that you can't punch it out to about 300-310 cid

for one very simple reason, the cylinder walls on the 3.9 are not nearly as thick as they are on the V8 blocks. Boring them out to more then .030 over thins them out to about as far as you would ever want to go without making the cylinder walls suseptable to either burning through or cracking.

even if you could find a block capable of being bored that large, 900 cfm is way too much for even a 5.3 turning 10,000 rpm with 100% volumetric eficiency.

please, don't bother posting anything more on here until you break your crack habit or get a full frontal lobotomy, whichever may apply in your case.

oh one more thing N56629, don't you give up your day job cleaning toilets at Uncle John's Loony Bin, mother nature gave you a long tongue for a reason.

Here's a question for the clueless.

How many cfm can I run on a 350 if I use an individual runner manifold. That's one throttle bore per cylinder.

My other Dakota is a six cylinder with 540cid and cruises at 157 mph.

So even if your experiment does work, and these people get their TB's back, they aren't going to be any good to them.

Why do you say that? Is it because a couple of confused people are ranting about the 900cfm comment? If you look back, you will see that I gave a range. It's no different than what others offer. You will find throttle bodies that flow from 500 to 1100 or more. It is overwhelmingly obvious that you match cfm to the application. Not once did I suggest that anyone throw a 900 cfm tb on their stock, NA 3.9.

If you have specifice questions about my experience, abilities or projects, go back to the original post and e-mail me.

A 318 or 5.2 liter v8 running at 6000rpm would need 700 cfm at 100 percent volumetric efficiency.

So the question remains. What would I do with a TB that flows 900CFM? If I were to send one and be lucky enough to get it back, it's still just a paper weight. How about answer the question instead of asking more questions.

What makes you think that you would need that much? What gave you the idea that I would attempt to provide you with the maximum possibe unless that is what you requested?

Now, if you had an I/R manifold, how many cfm could you flow? On a V6, that would be one throttle bore per cylinder or one throttle body with two throats for every two cylinders.

My other Dakota is a six cylinder with 540cid and cruises at 157 mph.

I've seen pro stock's run dual 1050 holley dominators but not IR. even the mountan motors run a small plenum as much to fight reversion as share throttle area, but those motors "see" more then 100% efficiency
as for 900 cfm a helix throttle body spacer and a tubonator along with a good port and polish should doit... and would you like to buy this bridge

Gee, what an amazing discovery. I suppose the next thing you are going to tell us is that you can increase the effieciency of an by using turbo or superchargers.

I wonder if any of the resident clowns have written to F&B and told them how silly they are for suggesting that their 50mm, flowing 760 cfm, be used on a V6.

2x50
Applications: 5.2L and 5.9L V8, Modified 3.9L V6

"The 50mm throttle body features a profiled 303 ss shaft with impregnated molybdenum finish. Comes with new factory gasket, all new 18-8 stainless steel cap screws for your factory sensors, stainless steel hold down bolts, and the F&B billet seal nut for your airhat. This TB requires minor modifications to your factory airhat (Ram or Dakota). No modifications are required for aftermarket air inlet systems. The 50mm Throttle body flows 760 CFM @ 25". Factory V8 throttle bodies flow 635 CFM @ 25"

From my original post - "If you have any questions, please use my e-mail."

Only those that participated or wrote me are getting answers to questions or specific concerns. You don't have to like it and you are certainly entitled to continue being a troll in this thread or take it to email.

Nice... I take it you do quite a bit of machine work? I been thinking about having my dad take my old stocker tb in to work and having one of the machinists port out my tb and stuff. I'd like to see how much better that would perform compared to my tb I ported myself with a dremel...probably another noticeable gain. lol
