Subject: Flames from Exhaust, How? IP: Logged
Message: Now that I took my truck to the track and ran 17.7. I've decided to make it more for show instead of racing. Is there anyway to get flames to come out of my exhaust without nitrous? I just think it would be cool. My exhaust is flowmaster 40 series with 1 muffler and a y pipe that comes out on either side of my spare tire out the back. 2.5" diameter
Mods: PP intake manifold, Jet2, Homebrew CAI, IAT relocated, TPS mod, 50mm tb(pp), 1" tb spacer(free), 40 series flowmaster

Message: I don't think you can put a flame thrower kit on a vehicle that has a cat conv. There is a program called trucks that showed the install (a couple of years ago). Try searching that to see if you can find info.

Message: Don't they make kits where you can run propane through the pipes and ignite it with a spark plug? Why not just relocate it after the cat?
A dude at school last year had a Mazda RX-7 he had all modified (looked great...not your typical teen ricer) and he had the flame thrower exhaust kit. While he was working out the bugs, he shot a flame something like 16 feet out the pipe and caught the car behind his on fire. I just remember walking to class and seeing the fire trucks out in the parking lot. I guess the entire automotive class was out there cuz the teacher wanted to see how it worked. lol

Message: Yea, I went to gotflames and emailed him, he said either Nitro or no cat. Would no cate = get rid of all 3? Or could I just get rid of the back out? I think it would be pretty sweet to figure out how to shoot them like 1 ft. out both tips.
