Subject: Tranny swap, auto to 5speed, possible? IP: Logged
Message: just brainstorming, i've got an '02 v6 with an auto. would it be possible to swap in a stock dakota 5speed tranny? (the nv3500 i believe)
what would be the issues? fitment? sensors? pcm compatible? what kind of stuff would i be looking at?

Message: The trans will bolt right in need to also bolt
pedals in and instal the clutch hydrolic cyl
Never did the swap on a obd2 on the obd1 if the
comp receves no feedback from trans it egnores
the signals for O/D and Lockup
You may just have to get the plug for a manual
trans and plug it in at the junction up by the
motor and than it should work fine and plug into
the manual trans

Message: sweet. i found the tranny that i would want over at keislerauto.com, one of their 5 speed kits. would love to have that instead of my spongy automatic. plus its just so much more fun to drive. oh well, more future plans :)
