start with the free mods

crank sensor mod
remove sensor slot holes 3/8" remove rubber gromit
and move down towards oil filter when you do this
go 1 colder on the plug NGK Vpower FR5 gap .040

IAT relocate 6" from throttle body in air tube
drill 1/2" hole and screw in does not need to be
grounded if wires need to be extended solder them
and it does not matter wich wire goes to which
side

throttle position sensor
take a drill jusr bigger than bushings so it hooks
than spin bushings they will get hot and gently
push them out, clean any burs with file
now use 2 little washers do not over tighten
key on engine off center wire pos and good
ground I go right to batt terminal and set this
to .75 volts

these 3 free mods are very noticeable when all
done togather give it 200 miles to learn and
you will feel the diff

when ever you change the tps volts you will need
to start and stop the motor 3 times so it learns
the new idle volts it will idle high the first
few starts and than settle down

go 1 colder plug after this
NGK Vpower FR5 and gap at .040 on your 2000

next cold air setup and a bigger throttle body
than do the exhaust always get more in before
freeing up the exhaust the dynomax 11748 and a
factory 2 1/2 tail will give you the best low end
torque than think about headders and the 1.7
roller rockers

the dynomax can be done any time but don't do the
headders untill the intake side is improved

when all this is done you will have a very nice
running truck than think about the superchips
tunner

All this will come in around a grand and you will
gain 30 to 50 rear wheel hp

if any of these mods make it run worse that will
tell you your o2 sensors are bad when you flow
better and it runs worse it is not increasing
the fuel as it should

I bought a Holley replacement ball stud set for about $15.00 and drilled the throttle body linkage instead of buying a cable. I have a 5-speed manual. It works fine and I still have my original throttle cable.

2.TPS @ .79
3.Cold Air Intake
4.IAT Relocation
5.CPS Mod
6.NGK FR5 V Power Plugs @ .040

I don't think you'd notice a difference. Mine stock, was .53vdc and I noticed a little difference going to .7vdc but not that much. A little crisper throttle response.

Hi,
I think what they were trying to help you with is the computer will use the 80.8% as WOT.And the lowest number for closed throttle.I am not a mechanic but I would just set it at .7 or .75 and forget it.
I am looking at buying Harland Sharp roller rockers at some point in the near future.
Hope this helps.

Yogi, you probably should have shopped around a little more. Here is what I've done and I did notice a difference.

Underdrive Crank pulley only - second hand - $25.00
TPS mod - $0.00
CPS mod - $0.00
IAT mod - $0.00 (Now I have put the IAT back to stock. My truck didn't like that.)
Ported V6 TB - $0.00 OK
Stock V8 TB - $20.00 Better than V6 TB
Removing the stupid snorkel on the airbox - $0.00
Setting Inj. Sync - $0.00 It should be somewhere around +3.
1.7 Crower RR's - $325.00(never installed. sold for $350.00)

Cherry Bomb Turbo Muff- $15.00

So, I think I'm out $35.00. Worth it to me.

My '00 QC 3.9 5spd, 4x2 w/ 3.55:1 gears and 235/75/15 tires get about 18mpg in town and as much as 24.4mpg hwy. And it has way more pep than when I started out.
