I got a Black Magic fan from Flex a lite part number 150 and I was wondering if it is a worth while mod for one and secondly if I can mount it so the control unit where the capilary tube is run in and is attached can be mounted on its side. I think you can I just wanted someone to validate my thought.

Definately a good performance mod. Clutch fans are heavy and rob crank hp. You can mount it in any orientation. Use caution in the summer especially when towing - keep an eye on the gage while stopped in traffic until you get the bugs out of it. Should extend the water pump life, too.
