I am also having the problem with my truck when you pull away from a stop sign or step on the gas under heavy load that there is some really weird noise coming from the engine. It almost sounds like valve train noise in a diesel when it almost stalls if you know what sound I mean. If anyone has any ideas let me know.

Oh! I know that sound!
If it's the one I think it is, it means your in the wrong gear and the engine is POed at you. :0) Downshift and try again!
