sometimes, if i havent run my truck for about 2 days, occasionaly it will do it even if i ran it the day before. anyways, when i start it, it will crank 3 or 4 more times than normal, then it will idle at about 400 rpms for about a minute, and if i try and give it gas, things get ugly. After that, everything works normal... someone said something about my IAC sense being messed up. could it possibly be just because im coming up on 100,000 miles and gettin old (its only a '98 3.9L).

Any help is appreciated. BTW, ive got all the little starter mods. Ignition, intake, autolite 3923's, v8 tb, glasspak exhuast, the works. Thanks

Could be a lot of things that would cause that

Bad plug
Bad plug wire cap or rotor
Bad sensor
leaky injector
leaky pletium gasket
small vac leak
Just being a bitch

We get a few in the shop like that and its
sometimes very hard to find what it is, but it
does not seam to effect the running at all

runs rough at start up for a minit or so than
straightens out, on cold start

yeah, no other noticeable problems. Wire cap and rotor are fairly new, along with the spark plugs, but they worked fine when i replaced them. I guess i will go ahead and try the sensor, since Sicminds told me i had a bad IAC sensor (my truck is his old one). Just confirming that is what it is before i go spend some more money. Thanks
