Subject: OVERDRIVE RPM"S IP: Logged
Message: I have a 1995 v-6 automatic. At 70mph with overdrive on the engine is barely turning 2000 rpm. Any slight hill or head wind causes the tranny to down shift. Is this normal? What can be done to improve?

It's not that abnormal. You can adjust your TV cable to fine-tune downshifting, it should help some. I find that mine does unlock the torque converter sometimes on slight hills, which only makes it jump about 200 RPM.
