Subject: 92 Dak Speed Output Sensor location?

OK. I have read posts concerning transmission problems till my eyes are about to bleed. lol I would like to know if anyone could tell me precisely where the Speed Output Sensor is located on the 2WD 92 Dakota Sport with 3.9L and automatic tranny? The symptoms I'm having are than when I start off after just starting the truck cold, I have to almost redline my beast to get it to shift from 2nd to 3rd. After it does, it's fine for the rest of the trip, until the tranny cools down again. I'm thinking I'd like to start trying to find the problem by replacing my Speed Output Sensor since that was pointed out in the majority of the posts I've read about the auto tranny problems. Thanks in advance!

The 1-2 2-3 shift is hydrolicly controlled on the
92 42RH transmission

Try a filter and fluid change
either chrysler ATF+4 or Amsoil universal do not
use any cheap fluids or dextron in the trans

Also check your TV cable and operation the cable
runs from the TB down to the trans drivers side
if broke or hanging up it will shift high

Not sure if the 92 had the speed sensor if it does
you will find it in the tail shaft where a cable
would have been on the drivers side

The TV cable runs freely when the truck is cold and there are no binds in it. The closest I could find to the sensor so far is a sensor connected to where the Speedo cable goes into the tranny. Like I said, it straightens up after afew miles and the truck warms up.
