Message: Hey Guys,
I have an 02 RC Dak Sport 2x4
Truck came with 255.65.16's (29in overall) I want to know if any one with a 2wd has put 245.75.16 (@30.5 overall) on there truck without a lift and without any rubbing. Any suggestions would be considered. If you have pics that would be great.
Thanks in advance

Thanks for the reply, is that the size you have on your truck? If so what kind of tires did you go with? I am thinking of going with the cooper discovery

Message: After looking (a long time) for 255/65/16's, I decided to go with 245/70/16's. Firestone Destination LE. I think the look a little beefier than the 255/65/16's and they are 29.5" tall. This doesnt affect the speedo very much, but im not sure how bad this hurts the ABS controller.
So far they are almost impossible to cut loose on my 5 spd one-wheel drive dak ;). Just a bunch of axle wrap and wheel hop on good pavement even when I've tried. Haven't driven them in the snow yet though, but rain isnt even an issue. These things grip on water like the water was superglue. Plus, they only cost something like $83, so nothing outrageous like the Goodyear Eagles.
Hope this helps.

Message: Have you had any problems with the Eagle LS 255/65/16's ?? I've never been able to keep the set on my 03 cc balanced. Nagging vibration between 35-40 mph. Balanced 3 times in 3 months, the 3rd was road-force balance by Dodge dealer. They ride smooth for a couple weeks after balancing, then the vibration comes back. Less than 10k on the Dak. Neither Dodge or Goodyear are very willing to help. Dodge wants to inspect every other piece of the driveline, when I'm 110% sure it's the tires. Goodyear says it's Dodge's problem.. Gotta love it...

Message: Dude I sold tires for a long time and you will have better luck growing a third nut before you get anything out of a tire shop or the Freakin dealer. Sounds like a belt inside one of the tires has shifted, bring that up with the dealer and see if they can some how narrow it down. Might have better luck getting one tire replaced (if they can find it)rather then all four.
Hope this helps. I have the 255/65/16s on my truck and have not had any troubles I want to go bigger/tall as soon as the stock ones wear out. was thinking about putting on 245/75/16s

Message: the 255/70/16's (30.06 overall) are not quite as tall as the 245/75/16's (30.47 overall) the difference is less then and inch but that could be the difference between rubbing and not. What kind of tire did you put on do you have any pics? How well do they fill the wheel well.
