According to us...you have a gen. 3...but I guess in Daimler-Chrysler's eyes it's a gen. 2.
Here's how WE look at them...
Gen. 1 -- 87-91
Gen. 2 -- 92-96
Gen. 3 -- 97-04
Gen. 4 -- 05
I'm pretty sure that's right...somebody please correct me if I'm wrong.

Close, the 91s are considered Gen 2, but do have a Gen 1 engine (TBI vs MPFI), I know cause I have a '91. Other than that your right on!!
