Ok, everybody knows there's a million threads on "What's the best throttlebody?" This isn't one of them...

I'm in the process of installing my new holley v8 throttlebody on my v6. Well everything goes good until I get to the part where I try to put on the accelerator cable(I think)...It's the cable that when I pull it, I hear a sound coming from inside my cab, which to me sounds like the accelerator hitting the floor.

The v6 throttlebody had a circle shaped connector, and it just popped on and off, the new v8 throttlebody has a circular flat surface that seems to be too big for the opening of my accelerator cable....What do I do?

It depends on the year but on my 96 I either had to get a V8 cable or modify the bracket on the throttle body. I chose to use the stock cable and bracket but I had to cut the ear off of the back side of the bracket that holds the downshift cable from the V8 bracket and weld it on the V6 bracket to give proper alignment and lengths. Well worth the efforts!!!! Combine the V8 throttle body with a Jetchip and JBA headers it runs like a V8.

I will second that. I welded a small screw onto my throttle cam in the place the v6 would have been on the v8 tb, in that way the rest of it is exaclty like stock so the cruise is still available (not that my truck has cruise though). The v8 TB, unported on the v6 engine is a good mod
