 Subject: had a power steering leak?

i just noticed a leak in my power steering, i felt an odd vibration in the wheel at a stop and checked the reservoir and it was empty
within the last two months i had drained the system and put in fresh fluid, my truck is a 99 with rack and pinion
wondering if anyone else had a leak start on them. is it usually a hose that just goes or could it be something more serious?
gonna take it to my favorite shop, maybe they can put a die in the fluid to check for leaks, i don't know

if you had a leak that big you would have oil puddles on your driveway, really big ones, my wife's concorde has a small leak in the rack it goes down about 2 onces a year, not enough for me to worry about, and that small I can go through a lot of fluid before it behoves me to fix it. anyway I had her start parking in another place last spring and you would not believe how big the oil stain is, and yes after having my mechanic go over it, it is only PS fluid.

My rack and pinion leaks but it goes down very slowly so i just put in a little bit every once in a while because it costs like 170 to fix.

My power steering Pressure hose broke last week on my 2000 QC V6. It was bcuz i did spin-outs at every empty lot I could find on a rainy night tho.

i've been doing fishtails all the way up to 37, destroyed my
spider gears because of it, i don't fish tail with my new rear end
anymore :(

my powersteering leeks and bad. but i think something else went wrong to cause it because now when u drive down the road u have to have the wheel turned to one side or the other to keep it straight on the road it wants to wonder. looks like seal is bad on my steering box
