Subject: 3.9 Stalls at low RPMS IP: Logged
Message: I have a 94 3.9 dakota. I just replaced the fuel pump, map senser, idle control valve, plugs, plug wires, cap, and rotor. When I start it it seems to idle low. Then when I put it in gear forward or reverse and start to accelerate it stalls. If I put it on the floor it does not stall. It only stalls when I ease into it. It seems to be getting worse. The check engine light had been on but went off whet I replaced the Idle Control Valve. I also took the throttle body off and cleaned it thoroughly. Still no difference. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Message: check your tps? probe middle wire+ and ground with a digital meter. should be .50vdc or so @ idle and gradually increase to about 3.5vdc @ WOT. should be smooth with no dead spots and return to .50vdc @ idle.

Message: EGR valve/solenoid sensor ( comes as a package )
$ 50.00 to $ 80.00 depending where you get it
at rear of intake manifold passenger side of
distributor.
Replace it and all troubles over..

Message: codes 52 is oxygen sensor and 13 is m.a.p.sensor.
I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY '92 DAKOTA AS RORY! I shift it out of gear at red lights, stop signs or in traffic to keep it from dying. These have been replaced; didnot help.

Message: With all those codes at once, I'd suspect a bad harness ground.

Message: http://www.dodgeram.org/tech/gas/Trouble/pcm_fault_code.htm
for codes
sounds like a bad or poor connection to the
MAP sensor -=- on my 95 it is on passenger side about 1/3 back on intake manifold.
You may have disturbed the connection when you
were working on the throttle body ??
Check into that first before worrying about
code 52 - richness of mixture
Only if code 52 returns after fixing MAP - then check O2 sensor and injectors

Message: My 93 dakota will start but not idle. It will rev to 400 rpm but not go any higher, it dies if I try to put the throttle at wide open.
