Good idea to install an elec. fan anyway.
Frees up some power and is a little lighter than the stock fan/shroud combo.
Good luck, Scott

I just went up to Auto Zone and got a 2000CFM unit and adjustable thermostat, I think I paid a just under a hundred for it all. I think I would recomend (I think its called) a Black Majik from Flex-A-Lite, thats a GOOD fan, a friend has one. Mine works ok just once it comes on it stays on like it may not be pulling enough air the get the thermo to kik off.
Good luck, Scott

I believe the black magic fan has both a sensor and a manual over ride. I hear it's and awesome fan and I am getting one as soon as i get the money.

Scotty if you have a 2000 you may already have an electric fan in there in addition to the clucth fan. I have taken off my clutch fan and will install a Permacool thermostat this week. The PCM wont turn the fan on til around 210. so I'm going to install the permacool unit to control the fan in addition to the PCM. Kind of like using the PCM as a back up to the permacool unit.

Check out the messages under no fan = free horsepower
