Message: Put a 15mm socket on the bolt that's on the tensioner pulley, and move it clockwise to loosen the belt. Install new belt per the diagram and pull tensioner counterclockwise to tighten. Easiest setup I've ever owned.

Message: Get a buddy to help you with this and it'll take 5 minutes, tops... do it yourself, and it could take a bit of work. This will take longer if your pulley needs replaced and doesn't return to it's normal position. It's usually recommended to replace the pulley when you do the belt, though I didn't and mine is fine.
Put a ratchet on the idler pulley/tensioner (not sure of the right size), I think you crank it like you're tightening it and the pulley will move and remove the tension on the belt. This is where your buddy comes in hand...have him hold the ratchet that's keeping the tension off the pulley. Then you slip the old belt off and put the new belt on making sure you follow the routing pattern correctly (should be on a sticker under the hood). Once it's on (make sure it's correctly on the large pulley (crank pulley?) down at the bottom) slowly let the tensior down to put tension back on the belt. I guess some have to physically move it back to the correct position...there's a mark somewhere that you match up to know it's right, though mine went right back to its original position. That's it. Like I said, it's recommended to change your idler/tensior pulley when you do the belt...if you do that, i've no idea how to change it, but I'm sure it's not that difficult.

Who told you this? My FSM says nothing like this.

Message: Ditto. And it's a one-man job, 5 minutes tops. Use a long ratchet wrench and it doesn't take much muscle. The FSM and owner's manuals do not say to replace tensioner with belt.

Message: I personally don't think it's necessary but a while back a lot of people were recommending it because their pulleys wouldn't hold tension afterward or something like that and they ended up having to replace it anyway...but like I said, I had no problems with mine and I figure if they put a tensioner pulley on the vehicle to allow the belt to be changed easily, they would make it so it at least lasted through 1 belt change.
