I am looking seriously at the BedRug liner for my '02 XC. One question though... In all the pictures, it looks as if the tailgate portion does not cover the top/crown of the tailgate. If that is so, what are you BedRug users doing for protection on the top of the tailgate? Does anyone use any kind of tailgate cap as well as their BedRug liner? I have a black truck and will also be going with the black ARE tonneau (hopefully, before too long), so I would like something that will provide some protection for the tailgate crown, but also blend in to the whole color scheme and package. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

I have had the bedrug for a while now and they are great. The fit is perfect...just as they advertise. Yes you do need to buy bed and tailgate caps for protection. I waited until I had everything I needed. The bed rug, bed rail caps, and tonnoue cover. I didn't have to glue down the bed caps because the tonnoue cover hardware holds them securely. You will have to glue the tailgate cap, 3-M tape.

Go to a local auto parts store and order some 3M protective clear tape. Tell them its for your bed on your truck, they will know what it is. Once its on you cant really see it but the stuff is hard as rock and will protect your paint!
Also when you want to get your BedRug look me up I have the lowest price there is!!!

I got mine from www.premiermotoring.net
They included the taigate lock and the trail seal tailgate weather stripping for free.

bedrugs are awesome products. so is the A.R.E. ls2 cover i have both on my 00 quad cab. i also sell them. i use the 3m tape on my gate top it works better and looks good
