I don't have any tips, I'm just wondering where you got your grill and what kind of price you got.

they are a pain in the arse to put in. My uppper ones were pretty easy, it is the lower ones that are difficult. It is hard to put your hand behind the bumper and not cut it up on the radiator/thingy. Are you going to rip out the black plastic things behind the main grille? that will make it alot easier.

I think I tried to use pliers on the lower set, but can't remember for sure. www.blackdakrt.com has a write up on installation that might help

i got mine from stylinconcepts.com i paid 153 for the upper and about 80 for the lower valance. also keep in mind that they are the chrome inserts, you can get the satin finish and they will be alot cheaper.

It helps to have a friend to install the lower valance. A large, long bladed screw driver is a must. I set the clips in place first, then while my friend held the blade of the screwdriver behind the clip i pushed the inserts in, one clip at a time. its hard work but they hold in place. if you have a Dremmel tool it is easier to cut grind the black grill out of the top.
