Subject: BlackMax Tonneau... IP: Logged
Message: Thanks for all your help guys on tips and tricks about installing these covers. I just installed it today and just like you said, the tailgate cover would make it very tight. No problem, I removed it, didn't need it anyway really, and the rails fit against the tailgate real nice. One question, why does Extang talk about their BlackMax being all black when the corner foam that rests on the rails is grey colored? Kind of stupid, isn't it. The whole thing black and the four corners you can somewhat see grey.

Message: I used a black marker and colored the grey blk.only the edges. and still has not washed off after 1 yr. If you have the 6 ft bed install another bow so you have 4 bows, the look is way better. the 3rd and 4th bow will be in the middle evenly spaced, I did it and looks way better. Also use the Extang Tonno Tonic twice a yr. I used the tail gate protector on mine but to get the side raised heith I installed bed rail caps, and Walla, looks good. fits fine, just had to remove foam from tailgate tonno rail.
