Subject: Detailing GenII Engine Compartment??? IP: Logged
Message: Hey! I'm planning on taking my truck to the Mopar Grand Nationals this year and wanted to find a way to get my engine compartment clean. I'm worried about using water with some degreaser because if anyone has seen the engine Compartment of a GenII V6 it's got more wires and hoses running in more ways than I care to acknowledge. And if anyone has found a way to organize that madness that would help too. If it helps I am planning on putting a red hose dress-up kit in the very near future.

Message: dakotahd,
i pressure wash my engine all the time. spray some superclean in the engine compartment and pressure wash it of within 2- 5 minutes. when the engine comp. is dry get a can of notouch tire care and spray complete engine comp. evenly and let sit for about an hour and then wipe off any excess. this works really well with minimal work.
p.s notouch tire care works really well on interior plastic as well... dash ect.

Message: try not to spray directly at the electrical box. I have on mine and haave not had any problems, but just incase. otherwise you should not have any problems. don,t forget the no touch tire care this really adds a finishing touch!!!
