Message: As far as I'm aware nobody makes any high-intensity regular-white 3157 bulbs. You can get the Xenon hyper-white 3157 bulbs from a wide list of online sources if that's the kind of headlights you've got (Avoid APC's bulbs, they're regular lights with blue crap on the glass that burns away after time). Because of the difference in wattage and bulb type, I doubt you'll ever be able to get the turn signals anywhere near as bright as the headlights.

Message: It all depends on the state you live in. I researched Nevada's state laws, and it says 'when in operation, they (turn signals) must emit a white or amber light'. I put Xenon bulbs in there and haven't heard a peep from any police officers, but I keep a printout of the regulation in my glove box just in case. Go to your state's official website and research it.

Message: The white is a good idea, BUT, you can get nailed. Sohere's what I did. The little tiny bulbs in the very corner of the corner lens, well I left that amber, as for the rest, I took the bulbs and cut the wire on one side, so they don't run all the time with the park light, only the signal light. And if you have Xenon bulbs, the white turn signals look a little more "amberish" and you have one little amber bulb in the corner so no-one can complain. Plus, if someone ever creams you, they can claim, they never saw amber at all.....
Something to think about

Message: I have a printout in my truck about the signals being white also. But what I want to know is can the little bulb that does not "blink" be a different color? I want to put a green bulb in there instead of the amber one.I checked the FL statues and they say nothing about different colors. I also know some people who have neon bulbs in their headlight casing.

Message: My buddy put clear lenses in his car, but did somthin' that I thought was a good idea.
He didn't like the look of the amber bulb in there even when it wasn't on so he used silver high heat paint and put a thin coat on his amber bulbs. This looks good when the signals are not on but keeps things legal when he's turning (the amber light shines through the paint)
Mind you his signals are not on with his parking lights.
Just a suggestion

Message: I installed clear corners and left everything legal, went to the amber bulbs for signal and park lamps, except the tiny corner bulb, i kept that clear, so when the parking lights are on and the ambers glow amber,it looks really neat at night. I will see if i can find the Law in Washington state about the parking lamps, turns.

Message: I recently put the clear lenses on my Durango and I have the Xenon white bulbs for the turn signals and I installed the Xenon super white bulbs for the headlights. I now want to change the stock bulbs for the fog lights but I dont know if any one makes that particular bulb. Does anyone know if there is a company that makes Xenon type bulbs for the fog lights on a 2000 Dodge Durango?, or do I have to buy new fog lights. The stock bulb is a GE 899.

Message: Watch out for using red or blue colored bulbs in the parking lamp locations - in many states it's illegal for alternate locations to use these colors because they're reserved for emergency vehicles. I'd purchased one of the blue 194 bulbs hoping it would look like my Xenon headlights/fog lights, but they ended up being a rich blue that faded to an off-white once the coloring started to burn away. A cop with nothing better to do at 2am than harass my girlfriend for an hour wrote her a $75 ticket because the 2nd set I bought to light up the upper lens hadn't faded to a white hue yet. Silliest damned ticket I've ever seen considering how small those lenses are and the fact that you couldn't even really see the blue hue unless you were relatively close to the vehicle, at which point you would NEVER mistake my truck for an emergency vehicle. The ticket was eventually dropped but it was annoying as hell to go through the entire process.

Message: I believe cops will ticket for just about any color other than white or amber in the front. It has to do with the resemblance to an emergency vehicle (yeah, whatever). It pretty much only happens when a cop's got nothing better to do.

Message: A great area to check legality of clear turn signals and other accessories. For Texas laws check out this site: http://www.capitol.state.tx.us/statutes/tr/tr054700toc.html
Check out chapter 547.324
For other state laws check out: http://fmvss108.tripod.com/statelaws.htm
it is illegal to use red anywhere in the front in the state of Texas. You can however use anything between white and amber.
