Subject: Another LED question IP: Logged
Message: Yep another one, has anybody figured out which LED's are the best ones to go with?
About the turn signals flashing too fast, which seems to work best, upgrading the flasher (and what part #) or putting a resister in?
Also, do they make one for the 3rd brake light?
if your gonna do it a mine as well do it right.
I did a search but could only get a bunch of people trying them out for the first time or arguing about it being stupid

Message: So far, there have been a lot of those cheesy
LED lights that point all the LEDs in one
direction. Problem is, that results in a tiny
(about 1 1/2" dia) round spot of light in your
taillight - not safe.
I just saw some on another truck tonight - they
really suck; they were so dim, I thought there
was something seriously wrong with the
electrical system at first.
What we need is a LED array that
more-closely resembles the 360-degree light
output of incandescent bulbs. Our taillights
(and practically all vehicles made) depend on
the reflectors dispersing the light so its usable
and safe. So far, nobody has come up with an
affordable solution.
