If by dash you mean your instrument cluster, then
you'll have to get some new sockets for the bulbs
to go into. The factory sockets and bulbs are
wired together and don't come apart. At least
mine didn't on my '97 dak sport cc. I went
to Advance Auto and got some sockets made by Calterm model #08522, then I got some 194R (red)
bulbs and am using them. There are 5 large bulbs
which illuminate the gauges, I left my turn
signals and other bulbs alone. Check out
www.intense99dak.com and read up on his gauge
face change, lots of good info. As far as the
AC/Heater controls, I'm kinda stuck on that one
myself. Their are 2 tiny bulbs (don't know their number) making all that light, plus the back of
the face has been colored to change the white
light to that green color.
I don't have an Ashtray light, so I'm in the
process of rigging up something from RadioShack.
Hope this helps in some way. I've changed my
instrument color and dome light to red and have a
cd player with a bright red face (at night) so
all I need now is my ashtray and AC control and
I'll be set. :)

If you get bulbs that are color coated, the heat will slowly turn the blue bulbs to an orange looking light. You'll need to get colored glass ones for it to work.

hope this helps you

Thanks for the replys. Looks like this is going to be a little more work than i thought. If i get some indiglo gauges that should take care of the insturment cluster, right? Where would I be able to purchase the lights?

Thanks again.
