I'm thinking real hard about getting a shaker hood . the pictures from pro finish web sight look pretty cool. I would like to see some more trucks pictures if anybody would like to show me theirs. My 2000 DAK SPORT 4X4 is painted amber fire, any pixs of that color with shaker would be awesome. but I would like to see any and all colors with the shaker hood, and how well you like it.
ARE. HARD LID-FLOWMASTER 40 SERIES WITH DUALS BACK -GTS PROBEAM HEADLIGHT COVERS-SPRAYED IN Z-LINER BED LINER- K&N FILTERCHARGER- AND MAYBY SOON A PRO FINISH SHAKER HOOD.

The shaker is definately a piece of work! Ill look around and see if I can find an amber fire one... but dont think Ive ever seen one?
Anyway, when your ready to order look me up, I have a great price on them.

I think the shaker hood looks sharp! Do you have any problems with rain getting sucked into the engine ? Or getting water in the engine when you wash your truck ??
Would the shaker look good on A GEN II ?

The shakers do look good on the genII's, but sadly, no one ,makes the hoods for them. What you can do is buy a replica of the original shaker scoop (with the seals) and cut a hole in the stock hood. If you aren't comfortable with this you can have a custom shop do it. Then you can either fabricate a trim for the cut or do what we did and cut the hole about 1" smaller than it needs to be on each side and roll the metal to the underside of the hood and weld it there (looks very trick). And the nice thing about the genII's with a shaker is that they look very mean, the bottom of the scoop sits flush with the hood. Very Nice!!

Haven't had any problems with water. Drove in the rain many times and washed the truck even more ... lol
And Proglass doesn't make a shaker for GenII daks ... just the GenIII daks and durangos.
Glad you like the hood, dbbaker ... looking forward to seeing the pics!

D, I have 4.7 and have already talked to profinish am going there next week to get mine. they make a breather/ shaker /k&n set-up for the 4.7. can't wait to get it done.

breather/shaker/k&n/????? will it still bring in
air straight from the outside, or does it use a
k&n intake kit? I already have an airaid kit,
and if it's a similar setup to the regular
intakes, there would be no point in getting it,
other than the bad a$$ look of the shaker
style. Post pics as soon as its finished!
