Message: From the day I got my Dak, I have always parked the farthest away from anyone else in crowded parking lots.. I would brave a long cold walk to the mall so no one would park next to me.. and risk dinging up my Dak.. Anyway friday...I am walking around my truck waiting for a friend of mine, and I notice on the passenger side door, I 3 inch tall crease ding, complete with scuff marks. It doesn't piss me off to much until I notice the side reflection is all messed up and during the day it looks like I have a pot hole in my door. I am so angry.. I do everything, wash, wax and park away from everyone else all the time.. and some inconsiderate A$$ hole has to ding my pride and joy... way to ruin a great day..

Message: I feel your pain. I always seek out a protected parking space as well. Sometimes I have to park really far from the restaurant or wherever I'm going to find a good spot. I try to park next to a good looking truck if possible. (I feel there is a "code of the west" amoung truck owners to respect each other's ride)
What really sucks is when I take the wife out on a date (not very often) to a club or restautant on the weekends. I will not take my Dak, we go in the van (also a Dodge). Everyone I work with that goes clubbing gets all sorts of dings, dents and even key marks on the cars.
Also (no offense to other women) I will not let my wife drive my Dak unless I am with her. She is the worst "parker" I've ever seen!!!! She must practice parking diagonally in the spaces!!
I try to keep my DAK looking really good.
However, some things can't be helped..like some jealous jerk intentionaly denting your truck or...your 4 year old running into your Dak while trying to learn to ride his bike or.... hitting an airborne sheet of plywood at 50 mph. Now that will make your day...

Message: I had my tailgate down once at a motocross track, my buddt thought he could just ride into the tailgate and it would hold his bike up. Idiot...Put a very large dent in tailgate. I cared for a little while, but never fixed it. I know what you mean, my mom hit a cement post in a parking garage one day, ruined bumper, arggh.

Message: yea that sucks! i know your pain...I park out even farther than you...i promise...well the worst danger is your parents! my mom was pulling in the driveway behind me and she hit my dak...not only did she nudge it but from what she said she HIT it hard! i was absolutely furious! that kind of stuff absolutely pisses me off! well surprisingly there is only a little scuff but still, it's the point. Well i hope your dak gets fixed...mine is abosutely perfect (after a visit to the shop)

Message: I had the same kind of parking lot dent in my door. If the paint isn't too scuffed, you may want to look into paintless dent removal. I had it done, it was like 2 hours and $80 to remove the dent and buff out the paint. Compared to like $250 for regular body work, it was good, and I can't tell where the dent was now.

Message: About 2 weeks ago, I was at a friends house and my alarm went off,, they said it was prob a cat, but I went out to check it out- didn't see a car or anything.
Untill the next day -- a dent right in the passenger door. $##%#
Pulled door panel off and pushed it out thru the speaker hole, but still can see it from the reflections off of it.
Oh Well can't see it unless you know its there.
