I'm a first time proud owner of a Red 99' Dakota Sport Reg Cab, 6.5' bed with Line-X bed coating. I'm looking to get a cap, but am having some trouble finding any used ones and most of the new ones I find don't have prices listed. I'm looking for something along the lines of A.R.E.'s Z or CH series. Any help would be great. Thanks

Got a Z on my '02, best cap I've ever owned. It cost me a little over $1400, base price is $1200. But this is in NJ, might be different where you are.

I have an ARE Z that I paid just over $800 for. This cap was used as a display model at an outdoor show in PA. not a scratch on it. Another option you have is to go to an ARE dealer and ask them about factory seconds. Most of the time all they have is a small scratch or something like that, but it knocks the price down considerably on an otherwise new cap. Hope this helps
