Message: Hows my trucks twin treating ya Clevite? To answer your question, I keep my wheels like new by washing my truck at least once a week(same during summer most the time:) during the winter at a touchless high-pressure automated carwash that costs $5, $20 a month is cheap insurance to keep my finish like new and my undercarriage almost like new. My truck looks like a million bucks almost all the time unless the roads are wet. Since I clean the truck so much, the brake dust doesn't even begin to buildup on the front wheels so I do not have to use the harsh spray-on chemicals to remove embedded brake dust. If you do not wash your truck as much as me and the dust builds-up on wheels, just get some Meguiar's wheel cleaner called "Hot Wheels" I believe. It's worked the best for me when detailing rims that just seem to attract dust no matter how much you wash them. Also, during the summer I wax my wheels at the same time I wax my truck, gives them a nice shine and further protects them from the environment. Some people say drive it like you stole it, I say wash and wax it like you own it and it will pay off when it comes time to sell or trade!!

Message: The trucks doin awesome, I changed the oil for the second time last night @ 2,976 miles (first @ 540). Living in MI I wash the truck at least twice a week (damn salt) in fact I detailed it real good this past weekend, shinned up the inside, tire foamed the tires, Armoralled (sp?) the mirrors, the black bumpers, and the door handles. the truck was shinny. I noticed the do-it-yourself power washer, rinse mode cleans the wheels pretty good, and wanted to keep it that way.
Thanks for the info, btw how's that tru-speed thing goin?

Message: Hey 2THEXTRM,
I see you also have that Airaid box on your 4.7.
What did you do, get rid of the "hat" and make up your own plumbing to the throttle body?
Did you notice any improvement with that Poweraid spacer?
Thanx,
John
