Message: Some people like the raked muscle car look and put say 20's in the rear or 18's in the front. but to answer your question maybe for handling? the lower (skinnier) sidewall is the only difference. Having a thicker sidewall in the front might make it a little more forgiving over the bumps. But to me it sounds just plain stupid to do that. Some put wider tires in the rear to fill wheel wells and for better traction. I would go the same all the way for rotational reasons.
