Message: I've got one installed in my '97. I love it! It really looks good on the daks. It's one of the only mods (strictly for looks) that I've done.
One thing to remember is to DO IT YOURSELF! it is so easy. it took me any hour to do it from taking it out of the box, to going and showing it off. your really getting ripped off if you pay someone to put it on

Message: Can anyone be specific about how the Street Scene speed grill attaches? Is removal of the original black grill inserts necessary, or do the SS inserts attach to my stockers? Can the bottom valance inserts be attached without removing the valance from the truck? Just how "easy" is this installation and how long will it take? Any help would be appreciated to help me decide. Dan in FL

Message: i did the lower valence by crawling under the truck and putting them on from there.....it was easy.
as for the rest....only took about 40 mins once i figured out a speedier way to do things....as for the rest:
the instructions say that removal of stock grille is not necessary. but you would have to cut into the stocker with a dremmel or something to get a better fit. i cut off the studs (basically its left over plastic that they melt the ends down on to hold stock grille in place) that held the stock grille with a dremmel tool....however, im pretty sure that a good (but careful) yank would accomplish the same thing...maybe at least file them down a bit. the clips that hold the ss grille on are kind of a pain. i finally started wedging them open with a screw driver to save my fingers a little pain....i would then push them onto the grille, a quick twist of the screwdriver closed the clip and those things are not going to move. it is pretty easy once you figure out whats going on. good luck

Message: I just finished mine yesterday. I followed Mills advice by having a friend hold a flat bladded screwdriver against the back of the clips and pushed them in myself. I just pulled the stock grill off with my hands it will come off easy once you break 1 corner tab. Also the lowers actually went on quicker than the tops for me, took a while to get the hood opener to be just perfect. But workin and lookin good.
