 Subject: Shifter Knob

I am trying to get my shifter knob to screw off my 2000 sport 4x4, it wont budge when i try to turn it. Does anyone have any ideas?

You have to flip of the shift pattern plastic top with a little screwdriver and under it is a nut,remove the nut and then you can unscrew the knob off

Yeah i didn't realize that either and just sliced it off.
Not sure what type of knob you are putting it on but i love my B&M hurst-type t handle
