Your Dak looks great! I really like those rims. They're pretty close to my 18" rims and your pics give me a good idea what my Dak will look like when they go on (after winter).
I noticed that in your planned mods, you're thinking about getting rid of the chrome grille. IMHO, I would keep it as it goes great with the rims.
How do you like the KYB shocks? I have some Belltech shocks (the price was right) for my Hotchkis kit, but I've heard they ride rough. I might cut my losses now and get some KYB's.
Thanks and again ... sharp Dak!

Message: Thanks Chuck,
The 18" rims almost became a problem. To get close to the stock tire size the 18's only had 2 tire choices-285/50/18 or 255/55/18. For a 9" wide rim the 255 is a stretch and the 285 is a little large, So we decided there would be no chance of rubbing with the 255, if rotating wasn't an issue I would have put the 285's in the rear. There were more tire choices for a 20" rim but I couldnt see riding on 35's for a daily driver. KYB's seem ok, only can compare them to stock. The guy who did my Hotchkis is Dean Sears who does a lot of custom work here in So Cal, and he said the Bilstiens were not worth the money, so I trusted his word.

Message: Hey von "D".....
Didn't know you were here in SoCal. I'm in Anaheim. There's a Dak meet every third Saturday @ noon at the Speed Zone in Industry.
Haven't been myself for a couple of months, and not really sure if it still happens, but we should both go next month, or try and start some other meet. I've met others from this board there, and I really wanna park next to your Q to see if our Daks sit the same.
I got your e-mail today, so I took a photo of my truck with the Hotchkis installed. I'll send you the before/after shots when I get home tonight (I'm at work right now - sucking up the double-time $$$).
I don't currently have a website, but I'm an Earthlink subscriber, so I have some web space out there somewhere..... guess I should start working on it.
