Hey,my girlfriend drives a 98 electric blue dakota 3.9 and it's a great truck, but it doesn't have power windows. I was looking for a conversion kit and i found a couple, or would it be cheaper to go with a factory kit, I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions. Thanks for any help, i love the site by the way.

thanks man, but i'm still confused! It looks like it's gonna cost me a lot of money no matter what i do! Also, i was wondering if you guys could recommend a good performace air intake, she's tired of getting stomped when i race her in my Z-28 and she wants more power(j/k). But she really does want an intake bad, so i was thinking about getting that to. Thanks for your help

No one ever said "power windows" were gonna be cheap... LOL

BTW, the dealer won't even touch an "aftermarket" PW setup and doesn't do conversions from manual cranks to power from factory without virtually replacing the whole door..

The cost of doing an aftermarket kit is gonna cost you about $300 to $500 depending on kit and labor charges. But as an "original option", I just wonder how much power windows counted to the final price of the "new" vehicle.

Oh well... next time, just get your vehicle with power windows from the factory... it's alot less hassle. :)
