Message: I first was going to raise my back end up about two inches and get new rims and tires. A friend of mine said since I was already going to buy new rims and such. Just keep the front end at 15" and get 17's for the back. Has any of you did this? I feel that it gives a meaner look like the old muscle cars.

Message: Ok, you wanna jack up the rear and put 17s back there, but have 15s in the front? That's not a muscle car look. That's the " I'm a nose diving kamikaze pilot" look because your front end will be tilted towards the ground. No offense intended, but I think that will be almost as bad as the neon green sentra I saw the other day with a hideous aluminum wing. ::shudders to think:: I really hope you have better judgement than to do this....

Message: SEE!! That is the insight I was looking for. I did not even think about the fact I will not even be looking at the car infront of me but the road now. It first sounded like a good idea but I have been shown the error in my thinking. Big thanx to BlakDakMagnum and kota on 20s.
P.S. kota on 20s.
You can buy mattching rims that is whay it first did not sound that bad. At my buddy did it to his car and look ok but it is not a truck and I did not look at the down side. You two guys saved me. I am so glad that I found this sight.

Message: i know you can buy a style of rim in two differant sizes, but the way i was reading it, it sounded like you wanted to keep the stocks for the front and get something like the R/T rims for the rear.

Message: Yeah it did read like that once I re-read it. But anyway. That idea is now long gone. I see it now like you see it. What the heck was I thinking. I am a new Dak owner that I guess just wanted to do too much too quick to my ride.

Message: hay man, just read what you (where) planning on doing. besides looking WAY UGLY, you have to thingk what it will do to your ride. just thingk, if youn raise the rear you will will be increasing -caster on your front end. and that will make your dak bigg time oversteer. And if you drive something like that on a slippery surface, youass end will be comming aruond in heart beat.

Message: Go for the same diameter rims, but change the tire sizes. front smaller & rear larger. Buy at least 16 -17 inch rims, 15" are out now.

Message: although jordans (23's) look good on a navigator, they will not fit a dakota because they dont have a sidewall small enough.
at sema they had a toyota sequoia on 26's with a 20 series side wall. with a stock suspencion it was almost tucking tire!
if you could afford thoes, you truly are a baller.
