Subject: Another Rollpan Question IP: Logged
Message: Im mostly a performance person, so i dont know much about body work. Which rollpans are better, bolt-in or welded? Also, steel or fiberglass? Im guessing it would, but will a durango bumper fit my dakota? I just want a solid white front end like the R/T's have.

Message: as for the front bumper just paint or powder coat yours.
for the rollpan, go with the metal one. and the pros and cons of welding it on: PRO, looks WAY better, and cleaner. CON, if you get rearended it will cost more to cut it off and weld a new one on.(but that is what insurance is for)
i had a fiberglass one and sold it for a welded on metal one. now that i have the metal one i would never buy a fiberglass one again.

Message: Tyler the 01 Dakotas and Durangos come with a ONE PIECE front end. They will fit your truck. They are solid color all the way through. I just had to have one put on my 98 Dakota after it was hit.
