Message: Anybody running 18 X 8.5" wheels on a Gen II or Gen III Dak? If so what size tire are you using? My truck is a '95 that has been lowered 2/3"

Message: I'm sporting 18x8.5 Mille Miglias on my Gen III, and I went with 255/55/18 Pirelli Scorpion Zero's - which have the same dimensions (height/width) as my stock 255/65/16's. I'm also gonna do a 2/3 drop either tomorrow or Tuesday, which I think'll give my Dak just the right stance... not slammed, but no HUGE gaps between the tires and the fenders.

Message: Broeheem, how do those Scorpion Zero's sound on the highway? Do they make a lot of noise or are they not too bad? Also, how do you like the Miglias? I was looking at the same ones for my Dak.

Message: I don't notice any more noise that before, but I do feel the road a little more. The rubber compound feels harder that the stock Goodyears, and they don't squeal with enthusiastic cornering (but they've got a great chirp right before I break 'em loose accelerating). I'll be able to assess the handling characteristics better when I lower the truck. What area are you from? I got the Pirellis mounted/balanced and taxed out the door for $660.00.
See your other post for my response to the Mille Miglia Mesas.

Message: (If you substitute the word "THAN" for the word "THAT"... the above-posted message will begin to make more sense.)
