Message: I've had the fogs in for 6 months now and they haven't burned out. I just purchased the new 6000K Xenon/Krypton Eurodezigns for my Durango and they are sweet. I've tried a few and these are the brightest/widest. Got them on eBay from bright lites for $10 plus ship. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=36476&item=2439026834

Message: Dragging up old posts, I know.
Just wanted to say how happy I am with the new bulbs I put in the fog lights.
It had 898 bulbs in it, being a 2001. These had some kind of dark grey ceramic on the end of them that cut glare for oncoming vehicles, I suppose. But I wonder if they didn't get hot because of the coating aborbing the radiant heat and cause the lens cracking eevryone was having trouble with?
Anyway, I have replaced the fog light lenses/housings and put in the 894 bulbs. Same wattage at 37.5W, but the candlepower is 75cpi vs. the 60cpi of the 898's. Man! So much more light at the same power! Heat dissipated will not be any greater at same wattage, than the stock ones. I am thinking the lack of the ceramic coating on the end may distribute the heat so it does not crack the lenses.
