Subject: Slicks on a Dakota IP: Logged
Message: I want to put slicks on my dakota, does anyone know what size slicks i can use w/ out modifying anything.

Message: I assume you want these for drag racing and not street use. If you want the maximum speed you want the shortest,widest tire you can get. Hoosier makes a 26x10.0-15, combine that with a 15x9 light weight rim with about 6" backspacing and everything should fit and give good performance at the track.
These are available at Jeg's High Performance.
That's one option anyway.

Message: Do you have any other mods to your truck? Slicks won't do you a lot of good without a beefed up suspension. Hotchkis parts and lakewood traction bars would help with your launch and those slicks can really hook!
