I say go with 18s - they look better and will cost you less overall than 20s or 22s.

Message: I put 22's on my dakota r/t about 2 months ago, bumps are a non-issue, just dont hit any big ones, lol, or pot holes. Now i kinda want 24's tho. If you got the money go big or go home.

Message: Large wheels like that are a style item, so nobody's opinion counts except yours. If you like them, install them.
I would put a couple things out there for your consideration.
Larger wheels usually means short sidewall tires. The shorter the side wall, the rougher the ride. And, the more risk of damaging the wheel if you hit something.
Which weighs more, forged alum or rubber and air? All that extra weight will decrease acceleration, increase braking distance, and cost you fuel mileage. I would stongly recommend a brake upgrade.
