Anyone know if those APC carbon fiber taillights fit a 2001 dakota on JCwhitney they have them listed as only fitting 97-2000,they are 169 on there.thanks

Yes they fit the 2001. One side requires a little modification of the back side of the tailight. Total install time, 20 minutes.

Regardless of whether you're getting the chrome or carbon fiber tails, you have to slightly modify one of them. One of the sockets on the driver's side was re-keyed by Dodge for the 2001++ model years so you can't just twist the socket into place anymore. You can either use a dremel tool to cut the lens assembly to accept the socket, or you can do like me (need to buy a dremel tool) and just shove it in as good as it can fit and use some cable ties or duct tape to hold it in place. 4 months down and so far MacGyver hasn't failed me.

I had to modify the taillights on my CF Altezzas as well, but mine was on the passenger side. I have a '99.
